I have been rocking the ever loving dog nutts off my 99 dollar pawn shop affinity jazz squier delivered in a hard case 127 what's up which a mint green hotrod pickguart?
These days, it's mostly fretted and fretless fivers. But I still play my 12, my 7, my 6 and even occasionally get out one of my 4 bangers. The main players {}
4-strings, 5-strings and 6-string. Passive and Active. Fretted and Fretless. Foreign and Domestic. Classic and Contemporary. Budget basses and expensive basses. There's not a bass I don't like.
Play mainly a 5 string bass but love playing 4 fretted and fretless (unfortunely in my bands i haven’t much songs that can be played with a fretless bass). In the last period i’m thinking to go for a 6string bass.. what do you think?
For the last 20 years in my band, mostly a Fender '98 P-Bass Lyte deluxe (fretted 4 string). About 5 years ago I got a 4 string fretless, and then started getting a few more basses (all 4 string). Then about a year ago I got a Squier Bass VI, and that is what I am playing 70% of the time now. I would like to get a proper 5 string bass - and a fretless Goldtone Micro-bass to match my fretted one.
Pared down to the essentials! Like I said in another post! All are 4 stringers. Tried 5 strings for a awhile but none stuck. Didn’t feel right to me. 1 fretted Fender 1 fretless Fender 1 Breedlove acoustic fretless 1 upright
I own a Squier Bass VI and a Burns Barracuda (Yep, both short scale, with trem... and I play them with a pic... haters gonna hate )
I ain't hating. I love my Ps and I've developed a newfound appreciation for my J, but I rock my Bass VIs with flats and a pick. I stuck Staytrems on them both though. I don't need a tremolo on anything except a Fender amp when playing guitar...
