    There are plenty of posts where people discuss their favorite bass player.

    This one is a little broader. I am interested in knowing your favorite kind of bass player. As in what kind he or she plays. Remember this is TB so there are only a few kinds and they are P, J, Squier (prefereably one that is better than a Fodera), Tort, Flats, etc.

    So don't walk, run out and vote!

    I vote Nobody.

    So this really has nothing to do with the player, just what kind of bass you like.

    I refuse to vote since you didn't include 'Carrots'.

    It's about the kind of player you like based on what they play. For example you can like hate P basses but your favorite kind of bass player can be a P bass player.

    But you can't play carrots.

    Actually, what am I saying?! This is TB.

    How do I add carrots to the pole?

    On second though, just vote Nobody!

    The bass in not the player. I prefer old school. James Jamerson, Duck Dunn are a couple of examples.

    This is a trick question. The OP is asking what kind of bass player is your favorite but gives different basses and genre's as examples. Therefore I would vote for Grumpy Old Farts bass player.
