What kind of basses are comparable to Yamaha TRB's

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by waytoodeep03, Mar 22, 2005.

  1. As far as tone and quality are they comparable to? I'm not talking about the 6PII just the Trb6II and Trb5II. Also why is it so hard to find a six string used?

I've owned a 1993 TRB-6P and it was my favorite 6 string bass ever! I have also owned a Peavey Cirrus and I would say that the Peavey Cirrus 6 is closer to the sound and feel of a TRB-6 minus the wide string spacing. Take a look at some Cirrus basses! They are top notch build quality IMO! I loved my TRB-6P way better than anything that Yamaha has done recently. Get one of those if you can...I prefer it to the Cirrus!
