Plain black Leather, 10 cm wide, no fancy graphics.
I had to cut it almost in half to get my bass up to the right position

Why are all straps designed for Fieldy clones?!?

I must have 10-15 straps. I got staps hanging all over the place. My favorite is a wide, soft leather strap, that I have had for many years (I wish I could find another one). I have two Gibson straps, a suede one with the Gibson logo, and one of the padded ones, I hate the padded one. I don't see how you guys use those nylon things (I have two or three of those), they cut into my shoulder.

I have a plain black strap and (my favorite) a two-sided strap: one side is black leather, the other has a very cool, realistic design with chili peppers.

Mines a basic nylon strap. It's back, and wearing out. I'd like a wider leather one, but I can never find a leather strap the right length. I happen to play fairly low (about waist/groin level), and am a big guy, so most straps put the bass a little higher, which irks me, and my fretting hand to no end. So I always buy those generic nylon straps. Nex up- some fikkin' strap locks...

    Man, that's prophetic!

    My 3 main straps are a 2" padded Levy's, a 3" padded Levy's, and a 3" Guitar Center strap, all 3 leather.

I also have a Carvin strap and one of those cheapo web straps.

  13. I have a Clear Plastic strap that is awesome cause it looks as if the bass floats. It's thick enough to handle the bass too.

I have a nice leather one.

And i plan to buy a Planet Waves one for bass, nylon, that has the padding on the bottom end for comfort. Damn leather straps don't let you raise the bass high enough.

I like mine best. Nobody makes fun of my bass-playing when I use that strap.

  18. I ordered a Planet Waves one from Musicians' Foe a few days ago. I'll give a report as soon as I get it.

It's going to be strap-locked onto the FBB custom 5 I'm currently having built.

All three of my basses ride on black ernie ball straps. Never paid mor than $5 for a strap. All have schaller straplocks also. I just have never found a leather one that looks good to me, even though I want one. The Jazz 5 ways a ton and I need a padded strap. Maybe someday. :D

    a Levy's 3" black leather strap I found at a pawnshop for $6,

Another Levy's, very similar to the above, with "Pedulla, the serious bass" embossed on it. It came with my Pedulla (duh).

A Carvin Deluxe strap, which was my main strap until I found the Levy's. Decent.
