what makes a 10 seemingly jump off the basket when turned up?

    I recently checked out a high end GK 210 and a peavey 410tvx at my local music store, and I was quite surprised! the 210 I have at home can be turned up quite loud with the cones looking like they are barely travelling.and when I turned up the other cabs(running the correct power) the cones looked like they were going to jump out of the cab when i hit a note.why is this?:eyebrow:

    IIRC it comes from feeding the cab too much signal that is below the resonant frequency of the box tuning.

    Yeah, too many lows around 30 Hz. Those tens don't like it, at least not in wee boxes.
