I believe most people post "band drama" issues on here because they are hoping to get a better answer than the obvious one.....

Several are also hoping to get more experienced players give them a better perspective on their situation.

Others have annoyed their friends, family, girlfriend, wife and others so much, that they need to come on here and vent. Bass players, at least from my experience and this site, seem to be the most understanding and level head bunch out there.

  4. For entertainment.

  5. It would be a pretty boring place if nobody ever posted their drama. All there would be is questions like "What's the best bass for metal?"

...and +1 for what Gearhead said.

Because its always great to hear comments of people who can relate to the situations bass players tend to face. After all we are bass players here or most of us are I guess.

There was no doubt in my mind you were addressing this to Bluewine.

  11. I think you have it exactly backwards... We post, not because its such a special situation, we post because we believe it to be a situation others have likely been in before, and can give advice about how to deal with it, based on real world experience...

From what I gather... being in a band can be like having 4 girlfriends and a boyfriend all at once. (1/4 is always going to be in her happy month phase) and another dude fighting for dominance.

The things we do for music xD

*And no. I have no idea what it is like to have a boyfriend. I was just saying....
