  7. i'm pretty sure marshall is not owned by anyone anymore, they were in a pretty tight distribution deal by a company in the 70's, but they got out of that deal in the early 80's & as far as I know, they're still on their own.

Doesn't Marshall own Korg and Vox?

Marshall is distributed by Korg in the USA. I would think Korg would own Marshall, not the other way around.

Spector bought back the rights to his name and so he owns Spector again.

Robert Gallien still owns Gallien Krueger.

PRS, Terry McInturff and most of the boutique guitar lines are still owned by the founders. Except Matchless.

Most big companies, or old companies are completely corporate now. For Example: Greg Mackie still has part ownership in Mackie but its a pretty small share.

As far as I know, Alex still owns Aguilar. I understand Mackie is having some big problems and has resorted to overseas mfg to stay afloat...

  17. You've got that the wrong way around!

Yorkville is still a privately owned Canadian company. Yorkville recently acquired ART.
