I may replace the pickups in my P/J combo. I like the sound I get from the ones in it, but their not quiet hot enough and don't get that much volume. What could I replace them with to get a good sound? Something like the MM sound or P Bass sound that's fat with the growl of a Jazz bass. Thanks

I need some feedback as I am getting ready to make a trip to town where the music store I deal with is and it is about 2 hours away. I wanted to pick up what I needed there. So can some of you all please give me some feedback to help me with my choices as I am not the most educated person with the Bass since I have only been playing for aobut 2 years and haven't done any modifications. Thanks

The Dimarzio P&J set are very good, loud output - quite mid focused sound.

The EMG P/J set is great, if you want to go the active pickup route.
