Humbucker, big, noisy when playing and quiet when left alone.

I love Music as Art. This means that I have several tones that I love.

The two sounds (hence pickups) that cover 99% of the ground to me are Villex pickups and Dingwall Prima Artist pickups. (I am not talking about any active preamp incorporated here)

The Dingwall Artist pickups are very defined with great analysis all over (not brittle or harsh). A top pro friend of mine says "It's like driving a Ferrari on an icy road. You need to be on the top of your game to do justice. It exposes every nuance of your touch and technique and it makes you feel like wanting to improve every single time you play".

Villex pickups are full, balance, organic. Esp the NVT line is a bold step forward

It really helps a lot that both are mounted on Dingwalls

The pups that tonally represent my personality...

SD Quarter Pounder. I'm kind of intense, but very quiet, like whenever the pups are off. Turn 'em on and you got me when you get me going. I don't really have any middle ground, I'm either a mouse or a ****ing gorilla.

Probably Dano-style lipstick pickups. Unpleasant and a bit gay-looking.

    My G&L MFD PUs.

Versatile, alternatively ballsy or bright, passive or active, and hotter than you'd expect, either way--I wish that matched my personality ;-)
