what power and "speakerage" do i need?

  1. ok, i have figured out the following,

    my amp must:

    >> be loud enough to play without PA support in a large room whilst retaining sound quality (ie. I do not need to overdrive it to get enough volume), (with a loud drummer!).

    >> be to an extent, upgradeable.

    >> cost as little as possible(less than £500 ($720(inc.tax) , without being really crappy (eg. not rogue).

    >> not be second hand (i want something that will last and something reliable, also, i am no good at finding good deals)

    >> must be available in england (this is not as important as wattage and speaker combination, but i dont want any Avatar recommendations)
  2. And I want a car that seats 4, does 0-60 in under 7 seconds, has leather interior, power everything and a 1000 watt stereo for less than $5,000.

We're both going to have to either cough up a lot more money or lower our expectations.
  3. It's an Impossible Dream

    To dream the impossible dream,
    to fight the unbeatable foe,
    to bear with unbearable sorrow,
to run where the brave dare not go.

    To right the unrightable wrong,
to love pure and chaste from afar,
to try when your arms are too weary,
    to reach the unreachable star.

    This is my quest,
    to follow that star --
    no matter how hopeless,
    no matter how far.

    To fight for the right
    without question or pause,
to be willing to march into hell for a
    heavenly cause.

And I know if I'll only be true to this
    glorious quest
that my heart will be peaceful and calm
when I'm laid to my rest.

And the world will be better for this,
that one man scorned and covered with scars
still strove with his last ounce of courage.
    To reach the unreachable stars.

Unfortunately, we conform to the market offer far more than it conforms to our wishes. Bass is just a small market compared to guitar.

I'll bet 90% of the people here don't get the significance of that picture. ;)
