Nice list...though I didn't see any of the Steve Khan/Eyewitness band stuff listed.

Too, I haven't bought any Doobie Brothers in awhile; what Doobie disc(s) did Jackson play bass?

For exceptional examples of Pop bass-
    Chaka Khan
    Steely Dan/Donald Fagen
    Paul Simon
    Quincy Jones

For more straight ahead stuff check out...Michel Petrucciani's 'Trio In Tokyo' & Michel Camilo's 'Trangulo' more fusion would be as Jim suggested Eyewitness & Al Dimeola's early stuff & Live album.....he is also on the new Dimeola.
You can learn something from almost every recording AJ has been on.......he is one of the top badass electric bassist ever!

Oh yeah.....there is one song you definatly have heard him on.....the O-Jays 'For Love of Money'..the
    picked flanged intro is awesome;)
