What 's the trick for an even sound on my Ubass

    It's the second Ubass I buy thinking there was a problem with the first one.
    The problem persists with this brand new Kala Sub Ubass. I get very different volume levels on each strings. The E string sounds dim in comparison with the A and D strings.

    Not so much a problem when I play at home, but at our yearly gig on the big stage with the sound engineer, the need to fix that problem became somewhat obvious.

    Why is it the Ubass and its Piezzo Shadow (mic) is not able to sound evenly volumewise on all four strings ?

    Chuck Sher publishes my book, WALKING BASSICS:The Fundamentals of Jazz Bass Playing.
    Ummm, that doesn't really look like a double bass to me. You might have better luck on the bass guitar side...
