What second bass should I get to complement a Warwick Thumb?

Hey all,
My current only bass is a 4 string bolt on Warwick Thumb. I really enjoy the punchy, growly tone and the D shape neck is extremely comfortable for me to play. It's the first active bass i've connected with, as I normally play passive precision style basses. I'm considering purchasing another bass for some different sounds. My budget is up to $2000. I would like to see what is available for very versatile instruments that have a variety of sounds available. Thanks!
