what should I do

  1. I own a Hartke 5000 transcient attack amp with a hartke 210 xl,(2x10) 200 w rms and a kustom 2x15
    200 rms, both 8 ohm.
I downtuned my bass to a low B and the kustom isn't capable enough for this.
Should I buy a SWR big ben 1x18 (400w rms)
    or a mesa boogie 1x15 (400w rms)?

In what way is it not capable? does it distort? does it lack power? is it unclear? are you D-tuning a four string? could it be the bass that is struggling? I don't know anything about Kustom cabs, but a 2x15 that can't cope with a low B sounds a bit lame... however, I wouldn't want to pair up a 200W cab and a 400W cab, especially if the SPLs were vastly different... it might be worth looking at a decent full range 4 ohm 2x10 instead of all that other stuff... Obviously my faves are Ashdown, but Aguilar, Epifani, Bergatino Accugroove etc. are all well worth looking into.. Maybe try 12s instead of 10s to get the comprimise between the two...
