A couple of soapbars will cover the previous holes form the P'n'J config, and you can chose their contents to the sound you like. Like j-j, p-j, p-p, j-p, and all 2-5 coil configs with all their tapping combinations.

I would go for dual twin-coil HB's, with four way coil wiring. (SC/Serie/Parallel/ SC)

I think the P-J setup sounds pretty "metallic", especially with both pups at the same volume.

  4. What setup does your bass currently have? Being that it's a BC Rich, my guess is two P pickups, correct? Whatever your bass is routed for, I'd replace them with EMG pickups because they are the epitamy of the heavy metal bass sound!
