Franz von Suppe - "Light Cavalry" (conducted by Henry Krips)
Vigil -- Blue Oyster Cult (From one of their worst albums, but good song)
Just finished watching an episode and got to hear it at both the beginning and the end. From 1967. Quite possibly, the best theme song for a superhero!
Procol Harum live at the Beat-Club
I always loved the look, and the sounds, of Steven Stills’ Gretch White Falcon!
That Gretch guitar is a secret weapon. They are all over albums you might not expect. Pete Townshend used a Gretsch country gentleman and a Fender bandmaster amp to record Who’s Next.
Space Party --the Spotnicks
Getting ready for the big show in August.
Nobody's Fault But Mine
When I first heard several years ago that one of the winners (finalists?) of American Idol (!) fronted a bona fide prog-rock band (!!!) I was understandably skeptical. But sure enough, District 97 has become one of my favorite acts of the 21st Century, and I eagarly look forward to all their new releases.
So when I heard just the other day that their lead singer had a solo project coming out, well, silly me, I thought it would be more like District 97 than American Idol.
Boy was I wrong...
When a Blues band has a Punk drummer as a substitute...
It's a very cool track.
Blues In C Flat Minor · Endangered Blood
A very nice Disco track with a cool, old-fashioned bass sound.
The bass-line has a few ornamental fillings. Let's say around 4:11 from the video.
It's a Pop Music nice band.
A nice bass intro.
With the bass player change in the band, Scary Pockets started focusing more on a song.
I like it.
Ring of Fire - Johnny Cash - FUNK cover feat. Lily Kershaw
