My cover band learned "Clean My Wounds" by Corrosion of Conformity..very easy. Personally I'm working on some Beetles stuff, trying to get inside McCarney's head. I try to learn at least one new one every week.
  2. I just picked up 46 & 2 :)

Some basic songs: "I Hear You Knockin'" by Dave Edmuns, "Tupelo Honey" by Van Morrison, 3 Stones songs. Typical cover band stuff. Oh Yeah, "Take the Money and Run" by Steve Miller.

Steve Miller has a good bassist(s)in his band. Who is/are they?

I learned 30 tunes for a Dep gig I did last sat, mostly commercial funk and R&B with female vocals. It was fun!

I've also started sifting through 40 songs for some gigs I've got comming up for a band called "The One Hit Wonders". The tackiest tunes ever, all by artists that went as quickly as they came. It's actually a funny concept and the crowd loves it! (And it pays well - and they have roadies!) :)
  8. Learnt Who Would've Thought by RX Bandits (ska stuff), and How To Start A Fire by Further Seems Forever (emo stuff).

Led Zepplin - Celebration Day, Since I've Been Loving You`
The Ventures - Secret Agent Man
Iron Maiden - The Evil That Men Do

My goal is to learn as much JPJ and JJ as I can. I really enjoy their style of playing.

Thanks a Lot, I wish I knew that sooner...

I had to listen to it/write it out...

But then I put it in PowerTab so I dont lose the music... I always loose music.

Finally figgered out a couple fills to enhance my playing of Red Barchetta, which still ain't completely right (I don't "learn" so much as "hear and figure")

And started figuring out Roundabout. Easy enough notes themselves, but the groove is hard to nail! Heh, little 16th-note "clicks" between notes were easier on guitar =0)

I learned one of my own songs. I've had this tune in my head for a long time now, and playing it is fairly easy, but you learn a whole new element to songs when you start to record them! Especially when they change meter every measure: 1/4, 7/8, 9/8, 7/8, 11/8, repeat.
