What store / section of store to buy shims?

Have read about folks using hardwood veneer as shims for necks.

Am wondering at what particular stores folks buy this veneer? I.e. literally Home Depot?

And if at a Home Depot, what section usually sells it? I browesd through the cabinets section. My local folks didn't know where to find it (but it may have been there).

I bought a supply at Home Depot in the lumber department. It was in the section with lengths of hardwood. The veneer is called edging veneer and comes in rolls. It was available in a couple of Home Depot stores I went to. I don't know about your area.

For the sake of those who might see this thread in the future -- it was just where 62bass said it would be at Home Depot. I got a roll for something like <$6. Looks like it would last me forever.

    Thanks again,

I'm glad it was easy to find.
