what string great for fender jazz bass?

    i have a fender jaco, what string is suit it?

    jaco used RS66 rotosound steel, that is what i use on my fretless jazz. i get that jaco tone with them.
    what came on the bass from fender ? those flatwounds they use on the other fretless basses ?:bassist:

    Yeah, I use the Rotosound 66's as well. They are sweeeeeet. I'm even running my jazz through a acoustic 360/361 like jaco did.

    By the way, these strings are really versatile. So they can be jaco strings, but they don't have to be. They're the best roundwounds I've ever played IMHO.

    I'll still keep flats on the P.
     
  4. I've got Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Flats on my Jazz, and they are groovy. Best strings I've come across in 20+ years of pro level playing.
