    Hey all,
I haven't changed my bass strings since i got my bass (8 months) and am looking for some strings that fit my style. I Like to play Rage against the machine, and harder stuff like that. But I also like playing chili peppers, and more brighter-toned lines. Any suggestions on a versatile set of strings that will fit my style? BTW, I have a Ibanez EDC500 Bass.
    Thanks,
    -Rob

P.S.- I'm really strapped for cash, so that's why im asking you guys and not testing them out my self :)

I think SHOEstrings will last that long on your bass.
Not, seriosly I think you should try a set of GHS Boomers.
Or for "cheapness" order a set of carvin strings. http://www.carvin.com

I would recommend stainless steel strings over nickels...and try a .040 or .035 set...

    BTW - I don't think he is...Jaco already fills that particular spot...;) ;) ;)
