what strings will fit a 6 string with a 36" scale length? I used to get slowounds from the luthier of the bass (SW2000-6SL), but he's incommunicado, and I can't find those strings for sale anymore, maybe they've been discontinued or something.

Anyway, what do you all use on your super long scale 6 string basses?

You can still get those Slowounds; you'll have to order the super long 5's and then get a single, super long hi C. I have the SL 5's, but not the single. JustStrings carries the single (as well as the 5 set).

I'm working with the folks at Thomastik-Infeld on a 36" Powerbass EB-366 set and have 3 sets on the way in right now for beta testing. I'm sending a set to both John Turner and Brad Johnson here at Talkbass for testing and evaluation next week.
