Hi, I'm Meehaw and I've been a GHS Boomers adict for all my (three year)career.
    [Hi Meehaw!]

I've recently started playing a six-string, and decided that I'm unsatisfied with their sound in the lower registers. I need much more definition there. I play quite agressively.

First thing which was stupid for me was to buy a -125 set.

Apart from buying a heavier set, can you please give me some advice on this matter?

    Thank you. :)

  2. Do you like stainless steel strings? You may want to give them a shot.

Come to think of it, I never tried them on my bass, but I did on someone else's. They were nice.

    Thank you for you response.:)

I'm not THAT desperate to order strings from USA. :D
I live in Poland. So, unfortunately, we are talking the most known brands here. :meh:

  6. Meehaw, you can check with http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/

They carry many brand name strings and ship everywhere.

    Thank you.

Can you tell me what strings can give me tight B sound?

I'm preparing for the Christmas Supper right now. MERRY CHRISTMAS!:D

  8. I use the Dean Markleys, on my 5 string, they have the taper wound string that sits in the saddle nice and snug and the B string is tight.

You can also try the Elites Player 25-125 6 String Nickel

I'll second the SIT strings (good enough for Jack Bruce good enough for me) I use them on my Fender Jazz V's BTW I prefer the 125 or 128 over anything heavier on the B string IMO I get a better growl similar to my E string than the heavier strings which sound "wooly" to me. as always YMMV. :bassist:
