I've seen weird, unspeakable things, but this is... http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Strings-S...r-/221645984192?pt=Guitar&hash=item339b2151c0
There was a lot of dicussions about another similar weirdness, a guitar/bass with a rotating neck/pickup piece in the middle of the body, and what negatives you'd get with that. No neck adjustment possible, strings under your fretting hand thumb, when would you actually have a use for this, etc. This seems in a way even worse because with separate strap pins and outputs you can't flip it over as easily. I think the main benefit would be as a conversation starter.
"6 Knobs for absolute control" - impressive. Seller should hook up with AweSome Musical Instruments and get knobs and switches!
Makes it easier to play the sucka like Hendrix, you know, lefty behind your head. Or with your tongue. Or right-hand And if you forget which way you were playing it, it doesn't matter. There are some strings on that side too
I saw one in a local store... I played it... I didn't like it. It didn't have a great feel, and the tone was even worse.
Nah ... it says it's a guitar with a bass on the back - not for me. I would maybe consider it if it had been a bass with a guitar on the back, I'm primarily a bass player after all.
This is genius. You could play lead in the traditional fashion while fretting the bass notes with your thumb and strumming with your D&@$.
Seriously, I would love to hear someone actually play that. Especially if they could play both fretboards at the same time. That would take serious talent .
There are basses with shorter scale all the way down to guitar size, but generally a bass would have a longer neck, yes.
Is it just me, or does that photo in the eBay listing look like a 10" toy mock up? If its for real it could be the answer to every megalomaniac gui****s wet dream. (In my best evil henchman voice)...Finally a guitar that allows me to wank away all I want while I crush the bass under my thumb and grind it into my groin where it belongs!
The guitar tone in the annoying auto-play video would seem to support your conclusion. They're not doing themselves any favors playing that soundclip at all.
