Long story short, I went to pick up a bass found on Craigslist and came home with two. The second is a definite project, with sort of working electronics, a bunch of paint chips, and a hacked off headstock label (but with most of the finish still on the rest of the headstock). I guess I’m wondering if refinishing the body (which I've done before) and headstock is a good idea, and if I do that, if adding a water slide decal of the original model is a good or bad idea? I’d be making a real one look like a fake one, but making the real one look more real than it does now. For general context, it's a mid-80s model worth about $300, so even though I'm essentially trying to flip one of the two, it's impossible to really gouge someone with it. Help me TBers! Thanks!

I'm not really sure what you're asking? Can you post pics of the basses?
