Im buying a new bass, a fender MIM p-bass(my squier is dying) Anyways, I just cant decide on the colour. Whatever gets the most votes is the one I'm going to choose.

If I get the white one, then I'm going to put a black pickgaurd on it.

If I get the Sunburst one, I'm also going to put a black pickgaurd on it.

If I get the black one, Ill either put a black pickgaurd on it, or leave it the way it is.

This is only a question of looks. I'm going insane so decide for me.

Black shows EVERY dirt smudge, fingerprint, and spec of dust...just a heads up.

Hmn...MIM P...I'd go for the Midnight wine with a black picgaurd, and maple fretboard.

I think that'd look pretty killer.
  3. I agree... black basses look pretty cool but the headaches you get trying to clean the thing aren't worth it.

Black P w/black pickguard is CLASSIC!!!!

    P.S. Fender MIM STD's aren't offered w/a maple fretboard or I'd have one. :)

My bad. I still gotta love the dark body/light neck combo.

Actually, I just GASed myself for a Fender P in Midnight Wine w/ the black pickguard. That would look really cool...
  6. Black.
Mine is black with a white pickguard. I'm getting a custom spiderweb pickguard for it soon though. Black is hard to keep clean, but only if you don't ever clean it. I just wipe mine down with a lint free cloth and some polish and it gets all the dust, fingerprints, etc. off and make it looks like new.

Why don't you get the color YOU like, not the one someone else wants?

I vote black on black or red shell on white. Both will look pretty tight!

The last time I did that (with my jazz bass) I ended up being in the store for 5 hours trying to choose a colour :/
