Anyone know what type of bass this is? I'm assuming its a fender.. I know Ged only uses this to warm-up prior to going onstage.

    77'?

  4. I think he uses NASH-basses, which is allparts stuff hastily thrown together with a generic relic job and an exuberant price card...

He's a Fender sponsored player now, with a signature bass, so I'd be surprised if he's using a fake.

In the "Backstage Secrets" DVD his tech (Hey Russ!) describes it as "....not made by Fender, just this guy who makes these great basses". That's the best description I know of, but if the wind's blowin' right, you may get lucky as I believe the tech in question has been seen writing on TB in the past...

Ged's gear list is online on the Rush website under "band" but I doubt the practice bass is included. I've seen them live numerous times and Geddy hasn't used that bass in the video at all

Sure looks like an older Fender Jazz.
Why do you need to know this?

Yes, I believe that is a Fender bass. They are occasionally talked about here on talkbass.
