What type of bass is this?

    This is Dan Kurtz from THe New Deal. I really like his bass sound, but can't figure out what type of bass this is. Any Guesses?

    Really???

    Is that a new model? Custom? The bridge and inlay look like a Spector, but Ive never seen a body style like that from him. Also the emblem on the headstock looks different... larger than normal.
     
  7. It's a body style called the "SD" (as opposed to the Ned Steinberger-designed "NS"). Spector came out with it during the "SSD" period before he'd recovered the rights to use the "Spector" name, I think. However, the shape didn't seem to catch on, and it hasn't been listed on the Spector site or catalog in quite a while.
