    Hmmm....

can't go wrong with either rounds, grounds or flats from D'Addario, SIT, Dean Markley, DR, GHS, Smith, Rotosound, etc. Get either the stainless steel, nickel or tape wounds... they're pretty good

    ;)

(you need to tell us more about what your style, your bass, who you like tone wise... more info the better).

oh and a medium to medium light nickel round might be a good starting point.

    D'Addario XL
    SIT Rock Brites
    GHS Boomers
    Ernie Ball slinkies

i have a p-bass..im looking for a classicrock/punkish style sound, but at the same time be able to have a deeper sound when i want.

or a kind of matt freeman sound.
if that is possible w/o a musicman........?
