  1. I play punk as well as some funk and jazz. I'm looking for suggestions on what type of warwick bass to buy new or used.

    If you actually like Sum41 and Slipknot, then I'd hope you buy the Vampyre! If not, and I hope you don't, I'd say go for a used Streamer or Thumb.

    I'd say go with a used Thumb. Everyone these days uses them, but hey, there's a reason.

    Sorry i didnt vote because i dont like any of those bands! But i would say if you play that kind of music i would go with a lower end model warwick! I wouldnt waste alot of money on good sound i would look more into what is more comfort to play!

    One of those warwicks that has "Lakland" on the headstock. ;) Just kidding, buy the bass you can afford.

    I had a Thumb and wasn't too impressed with it... Neck dive was horrible and the MEC pups and 'lectronics were really "plunky" sounding...

    Id recommend a Masterman if you can find one...
