I was supposed to deliver the Advance (Kind of a news paper but not really) I think I was 14-15. I discovered early on that no one likes receiving that rag, so I'd dump the whole lot in the dumpster behind the church. Took them about 3 months to catch on.
After that, I washed dishes in an Italian restaurant for a year or so.
Delivering the NY Daily News. Up at 4am every morning to fold
and the deliver the paper to my 40 odd customers. Made about
20 bucks a week with tips. Best part of that job was the lady who seemed to always answer the door in a see-through nightie.
I was in 4th grade so I guess I was about 11.
14 years old, sales representative for a distributor of discrete semiconductors.
Seven years later, I STILL don't know what that means.
12 boat yard, sanding preparing and anti fowling boats and trawlers up to 76 ft alot of the time in the later years on my own.. suppose thats where my love of sanding and prepping came from
