    Is the owner a tb'er?

Defently not the standard J sound but I think it's one of the sexiest instruments I've ever seen. Reminds me of the old Led Zeppelin videos in thier first tour.

LaMarquis Jefferson played this one in Roger's shop. I asked him about it, and he replied, "Y'all ain't ready."

Ive played it. Very old precision tone. Single coil, awesome neck. I remember that bass being ultra lightweight and resonant. My guitar player buddy who was with me even liked it. Imagine that

I know this design is a classic, but I don't like the fact that the pickguard covers so much wood.

You mean the bass about which JPJ said "it had a nasty sound, but it was great for posing"? :p

That bass does look really cool, and I dig the 50's style basses. The tone is different from a post 57 precision, drier but boomier.

Its deffinetly got the 50's single coil vibe just warmer and fuller with the Sadowsky preamp. :bassist:

Well, now I know what Sadowsky bass I want to buy, when I'm ready to buy one. When I have used a single-coil P bass in the past (my old MIJ 51 RI), I used a Sadowsky outboard preamp with it. I loved the sound.

That's the one! Although that bass got the crap beaten out of it.

Like Woodchuck said I played it. Couldnt put it down. Imagine the old vintage fender '50 P tones boosted 10x's SMACK DAB IN YO FACE!!!!!!! Next in my arsonal for sure. Roger told me it started as a personal build done by one of his guys at the shop. After it was completed they knew they had something special.......again. If you play it you'll love it......Ya'll really aint ready!!!!!
