What would this wood combination sound like ?

  1. Imagine a bubinga body with a wenge/ovankol neck with a wenge fretboard.
What would it sound fretted and what would it sound fretless ?

You have described a Warwick Corvette Standard, fretted or fretless.

It would sound warm and woody with medium growl.

  3. That sounds like a Warwick Corvette Std. to me too...

YOU'RE GERMAN! You can get a Warwick with no problem then.

Without knowing anything about the components such as the pickup(s), bridge, and construction (bolt-on? neck-through? et al?) it's would be just a SWAG to me, ("scientific wild ass guess") that would be pretty meaningless, IMO.

There's just too many variables. I wish it were as easy as selecting wood species and predictable outcomes.
