Ok, I have an opportunity to complete my Wick stash with a NT Thumb I've just found. Only thing is, it's a 4-string, not a 5 string. A friend of mine and I are trying to start a metal band, we both wanna play in either B or A, so I need a good fiver for the mix. My question is, would you just use a Streamer Stage II 5 for this project, and complete your stash with the 4-string? Or would you hold out till you found a Thumb 5? Only reason I'm asking, is cause I think the Thumb would sound better with the type of music we're gonna play. All opinions/views welcomed, thanks in advance... :bassist:

If it's not exactly what you want, wait for it.

OR you could string BEAD. I've done this and I think it sounds better in some cases.

Thanks a lot. Anyone got any input as to which axe would sound better in a metal mix?
