You walk Into the studio to record some tracks and you find your precious bass smashed to bits.. What do you do?

Times like this, "bass humor" and "gig stories" are the WRONG header.
    Sorry, bro.
Who owns the studio? Are you a hired gun, or is your band tracking (or did you hire the room)?

I'd be trying to figure out the "who" and the "why"..and someone would be buying me a new bass.

It's a good question and good "what would you do" scenario. I didn't know where else to put it haha. And any where to your liking. "wherever you record". I always thought of blaming the drummer.

If I'm walking into the studio, my bass should be strapped to my back in its bag.

Always take your instrument with you. Instruments are the first thing that will get stolen. I always take mine with me.

I wouldn't do anything because if it's precious, it clearly wasn't mine.

  9. I assume this is purely hypothetical - because smart people don't leave basses in practice areas or publicly accessible studios, much less "precious" basses.

I would call the police. Damaging private property is a crime.

Totally hypothetical. The chances of this happening is one in a million "except the stupid" but it's just a quirkyquestion.

I would ask the people in the room who wants to live and who wants to die.

I did a big favor for a guitarist I know. I was heading out but was pressured into play with him. Due to time constraints I had left my bass at his studio.

After doing him a favor he went berserk on the bass and it cost me 500 bucks to fix it..
He, namely Ed Berdej, said he never touched it.

He was saying that as I walked in to pick up my bass. He lied.

Ed's name isn't his name, it's his initials. El Destructo.

He's in Cedar Knolls so if you know him beware.

How did he go bezerk!?!? Did he just play it really hard or he physically smashed it? And what type of bass was it if you don't mind me asking.
