What would YOU do??

  1. OK, sometimes this ebay thing gets the best of me and I put in a trash bid with absolutely no real conviction that I'll win the item. It happened just the other day and guess what...I won the item! Only it's not just 1 item or 2 or 10 or 20. It's 24!!!

That's right 24, count 'em 24 brand new 8" bass speakers!

So what would you do with them? Make some mini Marshall cabs?, or some 8/10 scale Ampeg replicas? Put a pair in every room of the house for no-place-to-hide stereo?? I can build just about anything so the sky's the limit.

8s... man, that's tough...10's, now that some good use could have been made. But 24 8"s?..Hmn, I guess If I were me I'd go make some 8X8s outta them, SWR seems to think it's a good enough Idea to mass produce such a cabinet. but what to do with three of them? If it were me:

    8x8 for home, practice use,
2x8 for travel (never be without an cab!)
4x8 for some home audio purposes
8x8 for gigging/practice (unless you practice at your house)*
then use that last 2x8 for your car/truck/bike:eek:/transportation.

*if so, look at the first, then use that 8 for friends, and overcharge them for cabs!

  4. Gimme a few. :D

  5. Get a 1972 volkswagen bus and turn it in to one big bass amp

Ebay... the day I discovered Ebay was the day my bank account was changed forever...

  7. I think that I'm definitely going to put some to use as smaller practice style cabs. Either a 2x8 or a 4x8. One thing I will have to deal with is the 8 ohm rating of the units.

Thinking about it, I might also play with some of the out-of-the-ordinary cabinet designs like iso-barik loaded cabs or some band pass cabs. Plenty of experimentin' fodder.
