What would you suggest as a step up from my foundation?

  1. I bought a peavey foundation used from axe music 3 years ago, when I first started playing bass. It was my first, and holds great sentimental value, and I am most definately going to keep it. However, I want to buy a new bass, probably a 4 string, more mid-high end. I could probably spend about 2 grand (canadian). I am pretty sure I can get a dingwall from axe for around there (dingwalls are pretty innexpensive in canada). Or, a Lakland would work, what does everyone else suggest? I guess it would be used for hard rock, but I enjoy all genres, from jazz and funk to metal and hard rock.

If you really like Peavey, replace your "c" with an "r" and you get my answer. (Oh, look how clever I am!)

  3. I agree, they are excellent basses!

I would suggest the Lakland as well!
