1998. The year I bought the computer I still use today (added some things like faster cpu, etc. but the mainboard is still the same).
  6. 1994-1995. Bought modern computer with modern modem (Mac Performa 6200CD... replaced my Apple ][c) and hooked up to a local dialup ISP called CyberComm

1998. Became a Mac tech for www.frontline.net back when they did dial up and DSL on the east coast.

2000. became a server admin for now closed local ISP called Americom

2001. became an "Internet Engineer" for www.vnetusa.com

(I left the ISP world and switched to VoIP (internet telephone) stuff earlier this year)

Using it? Pffff, I invented it.

Sometime in 96. I dabbled with it in high school, but only started seriously using it when we got a decent PC at home.

I first used it in 1993 or 1994. Me and a friend of mine were able to get access to the computer lab in the university so we dabbled just a little there.

Then in 1995 I got a modem in my own computer at home and I haven´t looked back since

I think it was '95 or '96. Whenever the 133 MHz Pentium first appeared. The interesting thing is that that computer still works. My mom has it connected to one of her fancy sewing machines.

I destinctly remember seeing a windows 95 screen when I turned it on...so maybe around 96 or so.

There wasn't much on the information superhighway back then, except porn. Strangely enough, if you called my house you would oftern get a busy signal.

Even though Major has been on the internet for 6-7 years, he only started USING it a few days ago when he got an instant messaging service :smug: ;)

I started using it in about '95. My dad was always into computers and stuff, so I had access when I was about 9
