What year was Geddy Lee's Rickenbacker?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by him666, Aug 7, 2005.

  1. From which year was the Rickenbacker which Geddy Lee used to use?
I guess he had more than one Rickenbacker. But the one he used the most, the Jetglo.

  3. Thanks! :)
  4. Not to split hairs Thornton, but the official release date of "Fly By Night" was February '75 and some of the material for this was put into the can in late '74. The whole album featured Geddy's playing his Rick, so it seems possible that it might be a little earlier. Any thoughts?

Geddy's had a few Ricks, and indeed he had an earlier one or two that had the 1/2" neck pickup spacing, etc. But his most known models (that you see in all the videos and such) were from 1975 or thereabouts.
  6. Good info! Thanks Kurt.
