Whats a good Porta-Recorder

Discussion in 'Recording Gear and Equipment [BG]' started by Hubbertthebass, Dec 29, 2002.

  1. I just got a NetMD mini-disc player, and just today discovered the fact that you can't transfer from mini-disc to computer.
So now I am trying to find something that would allow me to record from either my Line 6 Bass Pod or from my Crate amp (165B) and be able to transfer it to my computer so I can burn CDs.
If anyone out there has any insight on this subject, please let me know.
    Cheers,
    Evan

Why can't you transfer? I upload my MD to my PC all the time, using the line in on my sound card.

It'll (MiniDisc) transfer analog to analog, just not digital. Just use the headphone out if you have to. And analog if fine for the majority of the stuff recorded live. Its been done analog for ever with good results. Check out the MiniDisc forums.
