  1. Hello...

In the song Opus Pocus by Mr.Pastorius on this site it says for the E note you "trill" to Fb...

Can someone please tell me what a trill is?

A trill is most easily described as a series of fast hammer-ons and pull-offs.
  3. how do you trill E to Fb?

i agree with Emebellisher. When I Come Around has a bunch in the verse, Jonny!

you would find these very common on piano pieces

The rapid alternation of two tones either a whole or a half tone apart. It will be sound like a really fast "dedodedodedo" (with the "do" a half or whole step (usually half step) lower than the "de").

And to Microbass... Get a 5 string :p
  5. E and Fb on the G string,2 octaves higher my friend;)

  6. Thanks you guys for teh help!

and there is also an E# too, as well as Bbb, Ebb, and F##, and I've played C##, and even a D##.

It's not as strange as it sounds, there are logical reasons why they are written this way.
As for the original poster, I would have no Idea ahy anybody would write a trill that goes from E to Fb. That's a misprint, or somebody is pulling our legs.
  15. Thats it...make fun of me.

I wasn't making fun of you, I was being dead serious. I have seen and played all of those notes in notation. The only thing I don't understand is why sonebody could write an e and a Fb as a trill. could you take a picture of the music and post it?
