whats an ohm

  1. yeah..... i have no idea what the difference is between 4 and 8 oms some one help me out and how i should connect my head to my cab thanks

    An ohm is a measure of resistance.

    "The practical meter-kilogram-second unit of electric resistance equal to the resistance of a circuit in which a potential difference of one volt produces a current of one ampere."

    Makes sense now, eh?

    It sounds like a mouthful but that's the kind of thing I hear all day at school. :eek:

    Ohms are a pretty simple concept that most people will never need to know beyond "Two 8 ohm cabs equals one 4 ohm load".
