What's better for recording in rehearsal room, Cubase or Garage Band?

Perhaps you folks are experienced with these settings?

I want to make a recording of our other stuff in the rehearsal room. Vocals, bass and guitar into the mixing table, then in the laptop's souncard. Every track separated from each other and the drums recorded in the room itself, which has a nice sound.

My girlfriend has an Apple iBook, with garageband on it or I could use mine with Cubase SX. It's about two years old, the iBook is new.

I think with GarageBand you can only record one track at a time, but one of the Mac heads here will surely chime in soon.

I forgot to explain we're recording one track at a time anyway, except for the drums, (a few mics for a whole set) where off course things must be mixed in in the mixing table.

Is it better in terms of possibilities of the program, the one or the other?

I'm interested to know this as well... Maybe WR will chime in.
