Here's a couple screenshots from a video a couple weeks ago... some kind of custom job? Slab body P, with block inlay? I couldn't get the whole thing in one shot, and can't tell what (looks like some kind of logo) is on the headstock. Definitely a Fender-ish shape to it.

The Fleetwood Mac tour starts tomorrow night in Tulsa, OK... just wondering if this will be his main bass this go 'round.

Not a Sadowsky. It is a slab P of some sort. Short name.

The way the light is reflecting off of the body leads me to believe that there is forearm relief. Not a slab imho.

I do see forearm relief cut, now that you say...

Pickups are marked too, with no evident polepieces... EMG, maybe?

Kinda looks like a Wilkins headstock/logo, and EMG pickup.

*edit* actually upon further review, doesn't look like a Wilkins headstock shape.

Yeah... that thread looks familiar. Trust me, it's not in there. ;)

This is a new one for him. Hard to say. He never does interviews or publicity stuff at all. Says he just likes to play bass and watch soccer.

Yes, the bass he played on "The Chain" was the Godin Shifter from the last tour.

  11. He's a living tribute to the longevity of a bass player, I feel good when I see him out there laying it down!!

I think it's more that it was tuned down to D-G-C-F because they dropped the key.

My kind of bass player :)

  15. It is kinda interesting. What do we know about it?

A Precision body shape, pickup and headstock.
The output jack is on the bottom edge, rather than the front like a normal P. More like the Cabronita and Mike Dirnt models.
Don't most Fenders have the routing for electronics on the front? This seems to have the pots mounted directly on the body, so I assume they're routed from the back.
    And it has compact tuners.

  19. He used to play Lakland, but that isn’t the correct bridge.

Yep, Laklands were still in the rack for the last tour, but he was playing a pair of Godins (one of them, de-tuned) and a Rick Turner bass. Also had the old Tobias Standard and a Fender Precision in there, but didn't use them. I think he must just pick something that works and stick with it.

John's bass tech, Mark is quite approachable... if someone asked him, he'd probably be happy to tell what this thing is. And I'll do that, but the tour doesn't land anywhere near here until February 2019.

Somebody's bound to recognize it before then.
