  3. Fan favourite covers would be our hard rock renditions of 'Devil Went Down to Georgia' and 'Carol of the Bells'. Hopefully the Ghostbusters theme song will be added to that list in a couple nights.

We've also been known to cover Guns n Roses, Aerosmith, ZZ Top, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Sweet, etc.

    Lots of different stuff.

With "Reflet", it ranges from country to hard rock. With "Coïncidence", mainly classic rock. With as-yet-unnamed new band, from CCR to Ozzy. I'm also in an original project (pop rock in french), and I've been approached to play in a folk-rock cover band. There's also a metal cover band in the making.

That's lots of stuff and I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with so many bands once they all get started!

Here's a few of the songs in the Show Band "mini band" playlist [the guitarist, drummer, and i]:
    Day Tripper
Crazy Train [original and altered version]
    Sweet Home Alabama
    Lose Yourself
Smoke on the Water [all 12 relative minor keys]
    Never Groove [original by me]
    By the Way
    Can't Stop
    assorted hendrix tunes
    assorted AC/DC and Zepplin tunes
Bass Medley [usually go from Black Bird to RHCP song to Amerika to end it]
That's all so far. We're in the process of learning more. If we need a tune to fill time, but we don't have one ready we jam over a Bb or F blues. That's all for now.

YES, by memory my friend, ALL OF THEM!!
    BTW, That's the short list!

The crazy thing is that most of the ones in that earlier post is with a New Orleans-style cover band, so we had to know the original tunes prior to it being "Nawlins-ized"... For example we take a bunch of regular blues/funk/rock covers and make them sound like they were played in New Orleans... You would realy love the Buckwheat Zydeco version of Cream's "Crossroads"!!!

Actually, my personal rep is a heck of a lot more... *these aren't even the jazz standards that I do currently, nor the wedding covers, nor all of the original acts that I work with, nor blues acts that call me up, but hey those are mostly 12-bar blues, right?...

See, pulling out cheat sheets and/or the real book can cause you to lose gigs... so I just remember what I need for the gig and leave the PPWK at home.
