    Does anybody know what type of bass is being played on Rod Stewart's Maggie May?

    If I recall correctly from pics that I'd seen back when that song first came out that it was a Fender Telecaster Bass, I'm pretty sure.;)

    Wow, thanks guys! I think the bass in this song sounds superb.

    It really growls more than I think a telecaster should.
