What's that hole under the pickguard?

    So i was thinking about just screwing in a tug-bar on my 2008 jazz, but it seems theres this round hole at the exact spot under the pickguard.
    what is it? i think i have one on my mexican too.

    It's from the CNC machine Fender uses.
