Whats that little yellow light??

  1. I have a bestly peavey Basic 50 watt combo. Theres a yellow LED that says Comp. on it. It comes on when i play hard or realy loud, what does it mean. Am i about to blow somthing????

    Probably stands for "compression" and it comes on when your compressor kicks in, eh? ;)

    It probably just limits your volume so you don't start clipping.

    Compression works by keeping your signal nice and even, eliminating volume "spikes" to your speakers.

    EDIT: My comment may have been taken as sarcastic, but it was not intended that way.
