I'm eyeballing 2 right now that I'm slowly talking myself into. Apparently I never realized how much I needed something compact for travel. What's your excuse?

I need something with more strings. Then it's going to be I need something with more strings again. Then something with octaved strings. Then something without frets. Then something without frets and with more strings, etc.

Is there ever fulfilment in material things?
If you are gainfully employed, that's all you need to temporarily relieve G.A.S.

price was too good to pass on!!!

  9. It's always getting simpler for me. I had my active J - I needed a passive one. Now I need a passive P, vintage tone all the way. After that I'll probably get a 7 string or something.

Damn, my answer falls accross several catagories...does that mean I can buy more than one?? :eyebrow:

My excuse is that I need something with more strings, something custom and I've got the money and I'm not married...yet!

Well, the price was great, but the fact that Stu Hamm, Vail Johnson, Victor Wooten and Steve bailey ahve sued them sold it for me...

apart from Geddy Lee, Stu is my musical hero, and I've been in love with Kubicki's ever since I saw him with them...

Once any bass of mine hits a certain age (say in the 7-10 year range) I get really antsy about taking them out of the house due to the possibility of them getting ruined and/or stolen (My 97 MIJ Fretless Jazz :bawl: )

I can never take my late 80s Charvel B4s out again, and my 97 MIM Jazz is quickly approaching that stage as well.

    Thus, replacements are needed.

  15. The more parts of the list that you can fit into your reason, the faster you need to fix the problem!!

  16. This is why I get new basses.

    Movin' on up! ;)

  17. My favourite ones are:

    I needed a different sound
    I needed a backup bass
I needed a different bass for this band

The best one ever has to be:

    I wasnt that expensive, its a steal/fixer-upper
