After many trips to several different music stores, and trying literally dozens of different brands through tons of different cabs, I have decided to get a MESA amplifier. Now the question is not what brand, but which model of Mesa Amplifier should I get?

Given the ultimate setup that I want to have,
(DIAGRAM OF DREAM RIG FOR LARGE VENUES)

    Amp
    Channel 1-----Aguilar GS410 (4-Ohm)

    Channel 2-----2 Aguilar GS112 (4-Ohm)

So If I were running this stereo, I'd have a 4 ohm load running through both channels A&B. But I wanted to know, Given the 4 10's I have running and the 2 12's for the big gigs, will I have enough power from the M-PULSE 600 to run all of them? I know that powering all those cabs with the walkabout is impossible.
But I wanted to know since I'm going to use these two seperate sets of cabs for small, medium, and together for large gigs, according to my needs...But I want to know how can I make this setup work. I think that the M-pULSE and the Walkabout are both mono amps, so If I run this setup with either of them, it will run a 2-ohm load and mesa says it can handle it, but it is not recommended. They have two speaker outputs, but I think ultimately using both speaker outputs is just like daisy chaining the cabs, right? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I broke it down like this.

    MESA M-PULSE 600
This one has all the features that I want in an amp with exception of it having Speakon connections, which are somewhat important to me since I have all aguilar cabs now. 27lbs of great tube sound. It has the footswitchable compression, eq, and solo channels. That sounds great, except I don't know if this will power all the cabs I want it to power and it won't do so with Speakons.

    or

    MESA Walkabout
This one has most of the features that I like. Most, being the great mesa tone and the portability of 13lbs. I think its awesome that you can throw this in a backpack and just go to a gig. The problem is that for some of the larger venues and outdoor gigs, I don't think this amp will cut it and it will require a
This amp has all the same inherent problems as the M-pulse, but it has them at a fraction of the price and it weighs more than 50% less than the M-Pulse 600.

I've thought about my options and you guys can guide me from there or suggest other things.

As for now, I'm trying to work with roughly a $1000 budget. Not easy considering the Mpulse600 brand new is $1299. But I'm getting one used (hopefully).

    Options:
    1.) Buy the M-Pulse 600.
    2.) Buy the Walkabout
3.) Buy the Walkabout and add a QSC PLX 1602 (Solves lack of speakon and lack of power issues) but adds weight and doesn't give me the large amounts of options from the M-pulse.
    4.) Buy the M-Pulse 600 and Buy a PLX 1602.
(Again solves speakon problem, but add 20lbs more to an already 27lb rack and it will most likely overextend my budget.
5.) Screw it...Buy all three the walkabout, the M-Pulse 600 and the QSC PLX 1602. (My friend said that...he encourages me to spend money...
    :D

    I'd appreciate your help.

Have you checked out the Eden WT-550? More power than the Walkabout, yet easier to haul around than the M Pulse 600.:bassist:

You should check out the M2000 as well. $999 with full warranty. Also its 625 watts. Mine had no trouble powering 2 GK 4x10RBHs and had plenty of headroom to. The mpulse should do as well. Oh yeah it has speakon to.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I tried out the WT-550 and it didn't sound good to me. It meets all of my requirements, it even has Speakon connectors, but It just didn't sound as good to me, even against the Walkabout. But that was a great suggestion, I just already played it and it didn't sound that great to me. I think the kink is that, the WT-550 sounded great with eden cabs, just not through Aguilar ones.

The M2000 is discontinued though, correct? And I don't think it has Speakon connectors. It says that it has 1/4" and XLR speaker outs, but I don't believe that they have Speakon outs, do they? I mean, why would mesa take features out as they made newer models? but I will look into an M2000, but from what I read, it doesn't have Speakon. Any other suggestions?

Can anyone give me the fair value for some of these used. The QSC PLX 1602 and the Walkabout or the M-pulse.
