whats the chances?

  1. hi

i keep hearing amazing things about the Geddy Lee jazz, and since he's my fave bassist, i would seriously love to own one.

question is - what are the chances that fender will make a lefty model???

    (none..probably..huh?) :(

I'm a southpaw, yet I play regular right handed basses. It's a lot easier because of situations like these.

    With some money it's possible:
    1) Somehow get a hold of a Geddy neck
    3) Get a Lefty Jazz body w/white pg (Ebay?, Warmoth? anywhere)
    4) Get a Badass II bridge
    5) Get any misc parts you need (stap pins, pickups, neck plate, etc...)
    6) Assemble
    7) String the neck reverse

There you go. Not the most cost effective way but it would work if you want the bass bad enough and it would be one of a kind.

I somehow doubt Fender will ever make one. Warmoth is your best bet.

    Wow, that's so true.

But the headstock will be upside down :D Apparently the allparts or something necks with the black blocks and bindy bindy feel pretty similar to the geds.
